Marcus Lee Asked:

When painting a new pond does all of the painting have to be done in one sitting or could I paint it in patches over a few days or weeks? Also can you apply more than one coat and would this give more life to the pond rather than just 10 years?

We Replied:

Dear Marcus Thank you for your question. We would suggest you finish all of the pond in one go so that it dries as one sealed layer and we would recommend two or even three coats of this paint to create a lasting finish. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton

I am in the process of removing the previous paint sealant (do not know the name) as after 2 years it started to bubble and crack near the top edge of the pond when water level dipped. The pond is ornamental only, has a concrete base and at its deepest level is 6'' so prone to get quite warm in summer, is this product suitable?

We Replied:

Dear Gillian Thank you for your question. As long as this item is used on a concrete pond, and it is cleared from all of the previous sealant, this will product will be suitable. Lyn williams Asked:

I have just built a new fish pond and have used a paint and sealer G4 as recommended (not this product) and the pond is leaking. Would I be able to paint directly over with Bermuda Paint & Sealant to seal it?

We Replied:

Dear Lyn Thank you for your question. This product can only be used on unrendered pools or if the old sealant is removed from the pond, you will need to drain the pond to re seal it. We would suggest using another layer of G4 pond seal over the entire pond, please note that G4 is toxic when uncured and cannot come into contact with any pond life. Michael Bradbury Asked:

We have a lined pond and we are going to cast a concrete base for a fountain. We need to ensure no lime leaches out, which would cause a build up of scale on the fountain. This product sounds ideal, do you agree? If it came in contact with the liner would this damage it? Would it be preferable to the G4 product?

We Replied:

Dear Michael Thank you for your question. This or G4 (https://www.gardensite.co.uk/Aquatics/G4_Clear_Pond_Seal.htm) would be perfect for the job and would not damage the liner if they came into contact. However, both products are toxic so they will need to be completely cured before installing the fountain. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701.
