Why Choose a Duramax Shed?
Being around since the 1980s, the people behind Duramax have over 35 years of experience when it comes to sheds, that’s why they’ve fast become a popular brand within the UK for those looking for a durable shed to match their garden.
Duramax Metal Sheds
A key feature about every product within the Duramax metal shed range is that each steel panel has been galvanised and hot-dipped, which means it has multiple layers of protective coating painted on top, including a natural green or modern anthracite black colour finish. This coating is what makes the shed virtually maintenance-free as it won’t fade, discolour, chip, crack, peel, warp, rot or rust, plus, you’ll never need to treat, paint or stain the shed as you would with a wooden variety.
To prove just how effective and durable Duramax has designed their metal sheds to be, a 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee is offered as standard, highlighting the quality and belief that Duramax has in its own range.
Duramax Plastic Sheds
So the Duramax plastic shed range appeals to you more over their metal variety? That’s not surprising as the clean lines coupled with their fire retardancy properties make them a very attractive proposition for garden storage. The strong metal frame that is incorporated in the structure adds to the rigidity which is further enhanced with the thickness and quality of the PVC that is used as the cladding. Most models have double doors and either an integral floor or a Foundation Kit.
You will know what size best suits your needs and you will also have a budget in mind so all I really need to do is outline the difference between the different models. Unfortunately, the names only add to the confusion with Duramax, Woodbridge and Woodside all in the mix to make sense of?
The first to arrive within the plastic range was the 8ft x 6ft Duramax. In essence, the ‘Mate’ refers to their principal range that features sheds that are 6ft wide at the apex, where the double doors are fitted. The DuraMate 8ft x 8ft and 8ft x 10ft are essentially the same shed but 8ft and 13ft deep, respectively.
Next onto the UK market was the little 4ft x 8ft Duramax, cleverly named to sit nicely alongside a side entry, or against a wall. It is a lean-to shed that has a door that can be fitted at either end for maximum flexibility.
Then it was time to manufacture a 10ft wide shed at the apex, and here there was plenty of room to add the customary double doors. These are available in both 3ft and 5ft depth options.
