This model has a capacity of 250 litres and comes with integrated shelves that are pre-moulded to the structure so that the pond can be filled with aquatic plants positioned at varying depths. A fantastic benefit of these shelves is that they help to encourage wildlife in and out of the pond, as they will use them as pathways or stepping stones to get themselves in and out of the water with ease.
Installation is quick and fuss-free: all you have to do is dig a hole and backfill as you gradually add the water, making sure the pond remains 100% level at all times. The pond itself is very lightweight, meaning it's easy to pick up and move around should you wish to relocate it at any point in the future.
Constructed from 3-4mm thick rigid polyethylene (PE) plastic, this pond has been designed to last a lifetime if installed and maintained correctly. For your peace of mind, there is a 15-year manufacturer's guarantee.
This model is part of Oase's preformed pond collection which is also available in the following sizes: 150, 500, 750 and 1000.
Please Note:
Ponds are supplied unboxed and are stored outside at our show site. It is normal for slight visual imperfections on the product's surface to be present upon delivery, including dirt and superficial marks. Due to the way they are moulded, pond edges may be subject to creasing during transportation, especially in warm weather conditions. These will settle once installed and do not affect the pond's integrity.

Where delivery is made on a pallet, which may be wood or some other material, it is of the customer's responsibility to dispose or recycle the pallet and any associated packaging. Unfortunately, we cannot have any of these items collected or disposed of on the customer's behalf.
Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 3 - 5 working days via a pallet delivery carrier.
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the large nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable (think of the empty pallet as free kindling!). Goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck.

Good value pond
Looks like a version of the more expensive Oase PE250 pond. Edge lip is good for lots of small pots of marginals which along with some boulders should hide the edge eventually. Delivery was fine, could not get the address label off though and it was stuck to the interior shelf,can hardly notice it now. Looks like good quality durable plastic which should last a while.

pond too thin and flimsy, not >2mm as stated
Good shape and shelving, the pond thickness is not as stated and has little rigidity. As this pond is recommended for in ground installation then this is to be excused but the wall thickness as stated in excess of 2mm was the main reason for this purchase and I am a little disappointed.

I want to buy the Pontec PE 250 Litre Preformed Pond. However, I don't want to put it into the ground. Would it just stand without falling on my deck?

Without support these ponds will not stand without support. if you desired a free standing effect you would be required to build a supporting frame around the pool and also back fill the surround with soil to fully support the whole pond. I am planning to use this as a duck pond, however if I dig down about 1ft there is solid chalk. Could you advise me on a solution to this problem, should I perhaps build a wooden support frame for the pond ?
