Lotus Instant Chub Preformed Pond

At a length of 89cm and a depth of 30cm, this model is a great starter pond. Although strictly speaking it can be used to house small to medium-sized fish, due to its limited volume, we feel that this pond is best used to support wildlife and aquatic plants. With a capacity of 62 litres, it's certainly not deep enough to adequately support fish as they become dormant during the winter months. 

A fantastic feature of this preformed pond is the incorporated shelf that allows you to introduce a mixture of plant species, particularly marginal varieties that thrive in shallow water near the edges of ponds and water gardens. Plants such as flowering rush or yellow iris will look great as their flowers and foliage emerge above the waterline, leaving their roots hidden underneath. 

Installation is very quick and easy - simply dig a hole, drop the pond in and backfill with sand or sifted soil as you gradually add water, making sure to check that the pond remains 100% level at all times.
