Dave Smith Asked:
I have an Oase Aquamax 16000 in the sump of a water feature. The mains cable has been attacked by animals and I need to replace it. Have you any suggestions on what, probably armoured, cable to use? Also should I just join to the existing cable (in the sump) or is it possible/simple to take the pump apart to wire the new cable in (and keep it water tight)?
We Replied:
Dear Dave
Thank you for your question.
You cannot take the pump apart to re-wire but you can use the Oase Waterproof Cable Connector to repair. It is available here: https://www.gardensite.co.uk/Aquatics/Oase_Waterproof_Cable_Connector.htm

Mel Irving Asked:
I have a Oase Aquamax 16000 pump which has stopped working. The impeller doesn't turn smoothly, it turns but is notchy. The shaft plastic is starting to split. Has the pump had it or do I only need to buy a new impeller assembly?
We Replied:
Dear Mel
Thank you for your question.
When the impeller shaft starts to swell it indicates that there is water ingress into the impeller. This can cause internal damage to the motor. We recommend that you contact the Oase technical line on 01256 896886. They can best determine what is wrong and the way forward.
