My Hoselock fountain pump 2000 has run without fail for 4 years. Now it seems to have hit a blind spot on the impeller. I get it going but it stops again. I feel it needs a new impeller However I don't know how to open up the case. Does the replacement come with instructions?
We Replied:Dear Laurence Thank you for your question. There are two possibilities the impeller has a dead spot or the motor itself has developed a fault, there is a fifty fifty chance of these issues. To replace the impeller the cage needs to be removed leaving you with the bare pump. This will have a round well cover on one side. Ensuring the motor is off, twist this and remove it from the pump, this will then give you access to change the impeller. I have the Titan 3000, it runs for about a minute then stops. I can't find anything blocking it and all seems free and good condition when stripped down. Any ideas please?
