Description
A fabulous addition to any garden, the Norlog 400 gallon pond is an outstanding product that can be used as an ornamental fish pond, buzzing wildlife haven or eye-catching water feature.
This large-sized 400 gallon (1800 litre) is suitable for larger fish, including mature goldfish and young koi. Not only does it look fantastic but it's also extremely easy to assemble, enabling you to install an attractive self-contained raised pond in your garden in less than 30 minutes. What's more, being an above-ground pond, there's no need to exert yourself as digging and plumbing is not required. Simply slot the timber sections together, insert the liner and screw the seat benches on top of the frame. A main feature of the seat benches is that you can sit on them and admire your fish as and when you please. Furthermore, this superior level of accessibility makes it a great product for the elderly or those with reduced mobility.
Whether you turn the Norlog 400 gallon pool into a water feature with the optional fountain pump or go all out to create a wildlife haven with fish and the optional pump/filtration set, it'll no doubt become a popular feature in the garden. To add further interest, a set of lights is also available, allowing you to enjoy your pond after dark.

Base Preparation
Norlog ponds do not come with a base and are designed for the liner to hang inside. To ensure that the included liner does not grind or wear on anything sharp on the floor, we recommended layering a blanket of sand underneath your pool on the inside. Alternatively, you may use a piece of redundant carpet, a rug or a mat cut down to size to cushion the liner and act as a barrier between the bottom of the liner and the ground, thus ensuring maximum durability and life span of your pool.
Note: Our customers are very inventive and creative and are very kindly sending in their photos of our ponds in different settings, with additional accessories and set in themed gardens with ornaments and water features etc. Hopefully, we will continue to receive more customer images that will add to these ideas so it's only fair we state that none of these additions come with our standard Norlog pond range even though they are featured in our image bank for everyone to see. And, of course, we want to thank our customers for allowing us to use their images.

These pumps do not come with a 3-pin UK plug as standard so that they can be hardwired directly. Otherwise, a 3-pin plug will need to be attached.

Pretty good pond
A little heavy on price although good quality. It's longevity will be interesting. Biggest complaint was that the seats didn't line up properly. Tried 'rotating' them to no avail. I suppose a minor complaint....only had to redrill. Goes up easily....about 2 hours from start of build to filled with water!

My spade stayed in the shed
Digging my last pond nearly resulted in a heart attack, building this pond was much easier and looks much better. I've placed it as a centrepiece on my back yard, and will get some fish in next year and some plants.

Intelligence 400 gallon raised pond
Very pleased with product. Took the backache out of digging and digging a big hole in the ground for a pond! Very easy to assemble 😀😀👍 only took around 40 minutes!! A bit pricy but wood is good quality and pond liner is a thick rubber material not flimsy and just hooked around the frame, 👏👏 We were able to start filling the pond quickly. And to my surprise only took 2 days to deliver which was excellent !! All round a good buy my son really pleased he has his koi carp in now 👍👍 We've decided to stain the frame green to blend in with garden, so maybe if customer had a choice of colours when buying it, that would be really helpful ( I'm only saying this because I got the job of staining it ha!! ) All round really happy with product 😀

We have just ordered a 400 gallon wooden surround pond from you. Can it be placed straight onto grass and do we need to put something underneath to protect the liner? Will the wood be okay on grass too?

We Replied:Dear Philip Thank you for your question. A pond can be made as deep as desired providing it is strong enough to hold the weight. We do not stock any oblong pools big enough to house that volume of koi, your best bet would be to build a pond to the shape and size you require out of block or brick and then render and seal the pool. We Replied:Dear Andy Thank you for your question. We have been advised by the manufacturer that the liner is made from 0.75mm rubber (EPDM) with a 10 year guarantee. The pebbles and plants will be fine and won't be an issue but please place them inside and not drop them to avoid damage to the liner.
