Description
Greenhouse 'glazing spring clips' are also known as, 'Wire clips', 'glazing clips' or simply 'greenhouse window clips'.
These clips are used to hold greenhouse glass against an aluminium frame, which in turn holds the greenhouse glass in place. They are often used in conjunction with Z Clips.
They can and do pop out, especially during windy weather. It is often seen as a great nuisance but they are designed to be the weak link in the chain and ultimately they will pop out before the glass does. It is easier to replace these clips than the glass, so they do have a dual function.
As can be noted on the packaging, these stainlesss steel clips will fit the Halls, Eden, AGL, Botanica and Juliana ranges of greenhouses.
How to Fit Spring Clips
Fitting them is relatively easy once you grasp the principle, which you already have if you installed the greenhouse glass in the first place. The bar at the base of the 'W' fits over the outside of the glass and you splay open the 2 ends of the 'W' and catch them behind the lip on the greenhouse frame. Once you have the knack it's very simple.
