Delivery Information

Fast Free Delivery within Mainland UK.

We offer fast and free delivery within mainland UK on our Forest products.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 3 - 5 working days for the majority of mainland UK locations (exclusions apply - see below for details).

For the majority of mainland UK locations, Forest products are delivered to your home directly by the manufacturer. In this instance you will receive a message by phone or email with details to manually book in a chosen delivery date.
For limited areas of south east England, limited areas of the south west England, and Scotland, Forest products are delivered by a third party carrier. In this instance, the carrier will contact you directly to book a delivery date once your order is ready at their delivery centre.

  • Deliveries to the below postcode areas can take up to 7 working days extra, on top of the advertised lead-time:
    BN1-BN3, BN5-BN18, BN20-BN27, BN41-BN45, BR8, CB1-CB4, CB6-CB8, CO1-CO16, CT1-CT21, EX1-EX24, EX31-EX39, GU6, GU28, IP1-IP33, ME1-ME20, NR1-NR35, PE14-PE30, PE38, PL1-PL29, RH6-RH20, TN1-TN40, TQ1-TQ14, TR1-TR20, TR26-TR27.
  • Deliveries to southern and mainland Scotland can take 5 - 10 working days extra, on top of the advertised lead time.

 Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver outside of mainland UK, including to offshore isles, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland or to any other country.

Installation
If you have purchased an installation service with us, available on selected Forest branded sheds, structures and buildings then this is completed after successful delivery of the product and is generally completed within 1 - 2 weeks following. After successful delivery, you will be contacted directly by the installers to book in an installation date. Please ensure that you have checked the delivery for all components and keep in a safe, dry place until the installation occurs.

Unfortunately, installation is not available to the following postcodes: BT1-BT99, GY1-GY9, HS1-HS9, IM1-IM9, IV41-IV56, JE1-JE5, KA27-KA28, KW15-KW17, PO30-PO41, PO49, TR21-TR25.

Vehicles We Use
For the majority of cases, items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places. Typically they are a 7.5-ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be maneuvered on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the maneuvering of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.

Venice planter

Venice planter was delivered on the date provided and I was informed in advance. Easy to resemble, though it suggests that you need two people to do it but I managed to do it myself (I am a woman) . It came with instructions which is very easy to understand.!

Good quality product, needs two people to put it together!

Good quality product, arrived on time undamaged and complete. Buyers should be aware of the weight of this item as it is very heavy and needs two people to assemble it, preferably in the position in which it will stay as it is to heavy to move easily once assembled!

Poor delivery and missing fixings and instructions

Original delivery failed and I could not contact anyone on the Saturday. Driver left a 20 second message with my child and never rang back and switched his phone off. Second delivery was successful, but there were no fixings, one planter was damaged and no construction/care instructions either. Driver said this is standard for Forest Not impressed overall, and would not buy their products again, simply because of the hassle, lack of customer service and missing fixings which i will now have to buy, if i knew what type I needed that is.

Venice Planter

There were no screws included and the ends of the wood were very rough, considering the price I think they should have been smooth. Lucky for us I wanted it painted green to match my fencing as there was some sort of bright green stain on some of the wood, so we were able to cover it. Once we got over the fact that we didn't even get the bag of screws so my husband went and got some which were the correct size and put it together, it does look good and it's a really good size. Have marked it down because of the missing screws and green stain.

In regards to the green colouring, this can sometimes occur in small patches due to the nature of wood and the pressure treatment which the wood receives. The patches can sometimes be an effect of the pressure treatment preservative, but is non-harmful and can be brushed or washed off in most instances. I have just purchased a Venice Planter. What should I put in the bottom to help with drainage before I fill with potting compost? Polystyrene or rubble?

However, as these planters are made from natural wood, the wood itself will absorb a portion of water if overwatering occurs and will naturally seep out over time. What is the height at the lower left and right ends of the trellis? What is the height of the planting box from the ground to the rim (i.e. excluding the trellis)? What is the dimension of the planting box from front to back (including the trellis when the trellis is attached? What is the approx weight of the planter when empty? Please supply metric values for the weight and dimensions, if possible. Does the planting box have a base and is this solid or slatted? If slattted, do you recommend using a liner?

We Replied:

Dear Jane We list all the product dimensions below the photograph and also in the thumbnail diagram. You can find the majority of the dimensions and the answers to your questions there. The item weighs 83kilos. Without the trellis, it is 482mm in height and the bottom of the planter is slatted. The height at the left and right points of the trellis is 885mm and that's from the bottom of the trellis to the top. Kind regards Zach Nicholson

These planters do arrive already pressure treated to prevent rot but of course can be painted, stained or oiled at home to suit your requirements and garden style. We highly recommend the Cuprinol brand of products, which are available in most well-known DIY stores (normally sold in green tins) and they come in a range of wood paints, oils and stains to suit the desired effect that you are looking for.
