Description

The Toulouse Planter is tremendously well designed offering planting bed with integral trellis to support climbing plants such as roses or sweet peas.

The container is large enough to accommodate a wide range of plants. You could fill it with flowering varieties, or herbs and vegetables if the planter was located on a patio near to the kitchen door. What could be better than arranging flowers from your own garden or cooking with supremely fresh ingredients.

Due to the timber being pressure treated it will last many years, this is a quality product, stylish, well-designed and superbly manufactured.

We offer fast and free delivery within mainland UK on our Forest products.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 3 - 5 working days for the majority of mainland UK locations (exclusions apply - see below for details).

For the majority of mainland UK locations, Forest products are delivered to your home directly by the manufacturer. In this instance you will receive a message by phone or email with details to manually book in a chosen delivery date.
For limited areas of south east England, limited areas of the south west England, and Scotland, Forest products are delivered by a third party carrier. In this instance, the carrier will contact you directly to book a delivery date once your order is ready at their delivery centre.

Deliveries to the below postcode areas can take up to 7 working days extra, on top of the advertised lead-time:
BN1-BN3, BN5-BN18, BN20-BN27, BN41-BN45, BR8, CB1-CB4, CB6-CB8, CO1-CO16, CT1-CT21, EX1-EX24, EX31-EX39, GU6, GU28, IP1-IP33, ME1-ME20, NR1-NR35, PE14-PE30, PE38, PL1-PL29, RH6-RH20, TN1-TN40, TQ1-TQ14, TR1-TR20, TR26-TR27.
Deliveries to southern and mainland Scotland can take 5 - 10 working days extra, on top of the advertised lead time.

Installation
If you have purchased an installation service with us, available on selected Forest branded sheds, structures and buildings then this is completed after successful delivery of the product and is generally completed within 1 - 2 weeks following. After successful delivery, you will be contacted directly by the installers to book in an installation date. Please ensure that you have checked the delivery for all components and keep in a safe, dry place until the installation occurs.

Unfortunately, installation is not available to the following postcodes: BT1-BT99, GY1-GY9, HS1-HS9, IM1-IM9, IV41-IV56, JE1-JE5, KA27-KA28, KW15-KW17, PO30-PO41, PO49, TR21-TR25.

Vehicles We Use
For the majority of cases, items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places. Typically they are a 7.5-ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be maneuvered on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the maneuvering of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.

Great planter, disappointing mode of delivery

This is a great planter, lovely quality and very robust. My original plan was to apply stain but when it arrived I realised that it will look great letting it mature in it's natural colour. The delivery was very tricky to organise and at one point I considered cancelling the order. After I placed the order I rang Gardensite to give them delivery instructions. Initially the gentleman on customer services was very helpful and he told me that I didn't need to be home when the delivery was made because they were willing to delivery it without obtaining a signature. I gave them full instructions as to where to leave it safely. On the allotted delivery day I arrived home to find a card pushed through my door from the courier Tuffnells, saying that they had tried to delivery it. When I rang Tuffnells they informed me that they didn't leave the planter because both sections of the planter were damaged when they received them from the supplier. There was no mention of any damage on the card. It was also very difficult to secure a delivery date for the replacement and the only thing they offered was to let Tuffnells to attempt to delivery and wait for them to put a failed delivery card through the door. I pointed out that surely we were just setting Tuffnells up to fail by letting them turn up on a day that I wasn't home! Eventually, after a lot of deliberation, Gardensite agreed to pass delivery instructions onto the courier. The second planter thankfully arrived in tacked!

As a fairly elderly female with nothing more than a basic hand driven screw driver, would I be able to assemble the Toulouse Forest planter?

We Replied:

Dear Janet Thank you for your question. This is a very difficult question to answer. The screws will probably be the 'Philips' type and at least 3 ins long. If you have good strength in your wrist you will be able to tighten them, but the back trellis is obviously top heavy so needs to be fairly secure. Having said that the soil will stop it moving too far forwards anyway. Ultimately the screws do need to be tight and if they bind put a little washing up liquid on them to make the tightening easier.
