Important Safety Information on Water Features for Garden and Outdoor Use
This product should not be exposed to extreme weather conditions. It is our recommendation that the product is drained completely and covered during the winter or alternatively drained and placed indoors. The electrical cable is permanently connected and sealed in the pump body. If the supply cable is damaged the pump must not be used. It must be discarded.
For safety-All outdoor wiring MUST be installed and tested by a qualified electrician BEFORE connection to the mains. A Residual Current Device (RCD) also known as a Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) having a tripping current not exceeding 30mA must be installed in the supply circuit. A 3 amp fuse must be fitted in the supply circuit. This product must be earthed at all times.
For outdoor use the pump has to be permanently connected to the fixed wiring at the mains system other than by means of a plug and socket. If an extension cable is required this must be connected to the end of the pump cable using a watertight cable connector. A means of disconnection from the supply having a contact separation of at least 3mm in all poles must be incorporated in the fixed wiring. Permanent installation to the mains supply must conform to the regulations of the local electricity authority and would include the use of a plastic or metal conduit to protect the cable.
Always disconnect the mains electricity supply whilst the equipment is being installed, repaired, cleaned, maintained and handled or while replacing light bulbs.
How long should it take to charge up fully to enable the equipment to work? At what stage should the feature be filled with water? Are the four batteries needed initially and where do they go?We Replied:
Dear John Thank you for your question. The batteries need installing into the back of the panel first. Charge these overnight plugged into the mains. The feature can be filled with water at any stage. When the item is fully charged will obviously depend on the strength of the sun and how low a charge the batteries have at the time. https://www.gardensite.co.uk/pdfs/solar-instructions-ee87db2618a9dca8edf40232093d18f8.pdf Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701.
