Can the Pontec Compact 3000 series be used as a dry pump not submersed in water? Do you have a pre-filter that fits the tube? Is there a plug on the cable?

Dear Chris Thank you for your question. Firstly, there is no plug on the cable as per EU regulations and no pre-filter is available for this pump. We would also say that these units are not designed to be run dry mounted as they need the water around them to cool the unit. I recently acquired a small wall fountain that came with a brass tap. Would this pump be sufficient for this sort of fountain piece? What sort of debit would be sufficient to have a nice flow out of the tap? If the tap gets closed would this be a problem for the pump?
