mrs cameron Asked:
I need an outdoor pump to power a closed water run which has a fall of about 4 feet down a bank, with a hose pipe return. Which of your pumps do you think would suit this best?
We Replied:
Dear Mrs Cameron
Thank you for your question.
This pump (Pondocompact 1200) would be suitable for a small water feature as long as it does not have to deal with normal pond waste. Please bare in mind that the width of your waterfall needs to be taken into consideration when deciding on the optimal pump.

Colin Childs Asked:
Could you provide recommendations for a pump to run a water feature? Allowing for the height of the water above the feature, we are looking at a water lift height of around 3 feet. Underneath the feature there's little room other than for the pump. So better if water flow adjuster was built into the pump rather than going on top.
We Replied:
Dear Colin
Thank you for your question.
To make a recommendation we would need to know the height of the fountain - from were the pump will sit to the top of the fountain.
If you can email this information i would be happy to help. Our email is [email protected].

Richard Asked:
I wish to instal a 80cm tall stone water feature that has two +/- 22mm holes drilled so that water gently flows from the top and down, essentially the two main faces. I am proposing to instal the reservoir below the feature, the bottom of which will approx. 25cm below the base, a total lift of approximately a metre. I will most likely feed the two columns from 22mm copper pipe, reduce to 15mm copper and then flexible to the pump. I would appreciate your guidance on the necessary pump to provide sufficient lift for two columns of that diameter. I can provide a photo if it would help.
We Replied:
Dear Richard
Thank you for your question.
We would still recommend this product line but as you are feeding two pipes we would suggest a 2000 version of this pump, please follow this link:

jay foat Asked:
Is this pump suitable to use with your Aquatic Planter 1800mm x 450mm (including some fish)? If not, can you suggest an alternative?
We Replied:
Dear Jay
Thank you for your question.
This pump would not provide sufficient filtration for the pond and the fish, please follow this link to our recommended pump:

David Asked:
What model would you recommend to pump water 2 metres high with an adjustable flow rate of about 300 litres per hour?
We Replied:
Dear David
Thank you for your question.
The Pond Compacts are all adjustable for flow control.
For a two metre head height I would recommend a PondoCompact 2000 as this would deliver about 300 litres per hour, providing you use the 20mm pipe work:
