Designed for multi-species occupation, any bats that arrive can climb over ladder style grooves into one of two vertical chambers, both of which can be inspected (by someone who is licensed) by way of the hinged roof. 

Bats are very sensitive creatures so the high quality FSC timber that's used in the Bat Box is untreated. Preservatives aren't required as the wood has been slow dried and only water based paint is applied.

Although it would be illegal for you to interfere with the box, the bats can be observed when they leave the box to go hunting for food, so this is your chance to enjoy both their darting movement at dusk and help in their survival.
