Using either shingle, gravel, soil or sand it will last just as long and installation is so much easier. Insert the sub-base into the ground, then your lamp column can easily be screwed onto the top of the base.

Nice characterful lamp

Having just moved into a 'character' cottage my wife decided we needed a garden light that reflected the cottage's age. This light was her idea and now that it's fitted I agree that it looks the part. Ordered and delivered on very quickly, well done Gardensite.
