Description
The Little Owl Nesting Box will be really helpful in conserving this species, that was introduced into the UK during the 19th century, as their numbers are rapidly declining.
There is a camera clip so that you can closely observe what is happening in the deep nest that is handmade from screwed and jointed FSC timber.
Designed with a small tunnel entrance that denies access to larger owls, another feature is the high entry point so that fledglings are contained within the box for as long as possible.
Recycled plastic is used for the hanging and fixing plates and the wood is slow seasoned to ensure durability without the use of chemical preservatives.

Siting: As farmland birds, the Little Owl has been known to utilise rabbit burrows and natural holes in trees for their nesting sites. We would recommend placing the box between the ground and no more than 2.5m high preferably out of reach of domestic cats who may pose as a threat to them. Alternatively, they can be placed on a woodland tree. The box should face East/ North East or South East. Small mammals are a huge part of the Little Owls diet therefore having a vast amount of prey close to the nesting box is vital.
Monitoring: The Little Owls are early breeding birds therefore we would recommend cleaning the box from September to January. They are known for being messy so we would recommend using an environmentally friendly cleaning product e.g. Wildkleen for disinfecting the box.

Delivery within Mainland England & Wales
Delivery of Wildlife World products to mainland England & Wales is charged at £3.99.
Delivery to Scotland, remote areas such as Scottish Highlands (Scotland and highlands as deemed by the carrier), Isles and Islands will require a custom delivery charge.
Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland or any other country.
Delivery Period
We aim to dispatch and deliver within 5 - 10 Working Days.
Timeframes may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.
Any cancellation of an order after your item has been crafted may incur in cancellation charges.
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location as a "curb-side delivery" service. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.
Once the delivery has been unloaded from off the driver's van, the customer has 10 minutes in order to unwrap and check the delivery contents for any damages before signing for and accepting a successful delivery. Any damages should be reported to the driver within this time frame, as once the driver has left, any claims for damages may not be successful.
