It's not often that an aquarium appears on the market that offers such outstanding innovation as the biOrb 30.

This is the original biOrb, still extremely popular, a design that has stood the test of time and ideal if you want a compact aquarium that is simple to maintain.

Ceramic media was a great step forward as far as filtration is concerned. It's surface are approximates that of a rugby pitch, full of beneficial bacteria that keep the water clean and healthy. Excess waste is captured by a filter cartridge.

Because acrylic is remarkably clear, and is also ten times stronger, it is used instead of glass. Everything inside, the fish, rocks, imitation vegetation, is lit by a standard low voltage LED.

The biOrb 30 includes an air pump so that the water circulates and is oxygenated with bubbles fizzing out of an air stone.

Don't be put off if you have found cleaning aquariums tiresome in the past, maintaining the biOrb 30 is simple. The filter cartridge should be replaced monthly together with about a third of the water. Renewing some of the ceramic media is an annual task.
