Description

Renowned for it dark red veined leaves, Bloodwort also has tiny summer flowers. This notable foliage plant is available from GardenSite online.

Deep red veined leaves are similar to beetroot in their attractive blood red appearance and this is an indication that this is a plant grown for its interesting foliage rather than any tiny star shaped flowers that might appear on stems during the summer.

Care Instructions:

Remove dock type flower spike to retain leaf colour. Remove damaged foliage when required to encourages new leaf growth in spring. Trim back in autumn to just above the water surface.
