Description
The double-doored 6' wide by 10' deep Palram Skylight shed in Amber offers a lot of practical space for storing your garden tools and other household essentials.
Aluminium and polycarbonate, both lightweight materials, make installation as easy as possible. However, don't be put off by the lightweight design, as combined together they create a highly durable, long lasting and sturdy storage space. Palram Canopia has tested their polycarbonate panels thoroughly and has classed them as being 'virtually unbreakable'.
Designed to withstand harsh weather conditions as well as being rust, rot and UV resistant. It's easy to see why polycarbonate is becoming a popular choice for garden storage!
Due to its compact packaging, everything comes in just one box for easier handling. Panels are installed via Palram Canopia's Slide and Lock system and you can easily move and relocate the shed in the future.
Roof paneling is uniquely crafted to allow sunlight into your shed, creating a soft and natural illumination and, unlike many other shed brands, this range comes complete with an anti-slip floor, letting you move your items in and out of your shed with ease.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 3 - 10 working days but may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.

Nice idea, but not so good in practice
I really like the idea of a maintenance free shed, which is why I bought two of these - a 6'x10' and a 6'x12'. If you decide to get a shed like this, there are a couple of things that you have to be prepared for. The first is that these sheds rattle. Oh, how they rattle. If you watch any of the assembly videos you will see that the wall and roof panels slot quite freely into aluminium channels. As a result, the sheds are noisy on all but very still days. The other thing with my sheds, has been leaks. A couple of days after the second one went up, there was heavy rain and wind. When it stopped, I went out to check on the sheds, and was disappointed to find multiple leaks, mainly at the corners. The open vents (without louvers) near the apex of the roof doesn't help either. Be prepared to buy several cans of "JENOLITE Stop Leak Sealer Spray", or similar. Many sheds have sliding doors, but these ones are hinged, so they flap in the wind. You will need something very heavy to hold them back. Overall, they don't feel like a quality product, and given the price, I thing they are a bit of a letdown.

Good Looking Shed
Looks great once built, but beware it will require at least 2 people to build. The panels feel a little flimsy but once put together the whole thing is very sturdy. Very pleased with it.

Make sure you clear an entire day to build this and get someone to help you as requires two, the panels feel a bit flimsy at first but once you start building it starts to feel sturdier, it is hard work to begin with but once you get a rhythm going it becomes a little easier, one of the trickiest tasks is first sorting through the myriad of metal and screws to find what you need. All in all very pleased with this shed.

Good looking shed but hard work
We bought this to replace an old wooden shed that was rotting and starting to fall apart, we opted for a plastic shed for minimal ongoing maintenance. When it arrived I was a little concerned to begin with as the panels themselves feel flimsy but once you have the shed fully assembled the whole thing is very strong. As others have noted, it is hard work building it, so make sure you clear an entire day and have someone else to help you, once you get into a rhythm though it becomes a little easier, one of the trickiest tasks is first sorting through the myriad of metal and screws to find what you need. All in all very pleased with this shed.

Good quality product
Assembly is quite an undertaking; several hours required and 2 people. That said, the instructions are very detailed, so little scope to go wrong if you follow them step by step. My only criticism is that the anchoring bolts are not included (but required for the warranty to be valid), also there is no guidance given on which bolts would be suitable. Took me quite a while to navigate the jargon on various DIY websites to get suitable bolts.

What do you recommend to fix this shed to a slab base?
We Replied:Dear Bill Thank you for your question. We would recommend making the slab base slightly larger than the base of the shed. Then on the inside of the shed, integrated into the floor, are anchor points. Use these with suitable bolts/screws to secure the shed, bolting it onto to the slabs. Anchoring bolts (also known as Hilti screws) can be found at most general hardware stores, and any variety should be fine as long as they are suitable for slabs/brick.
