Description

Create a healthy and thriving aquatic paradise in your garden for both plants and animals with the Blagdon Dragonfly 250 Preformed Pond - a well-designed and exceptionally sturdy plastic pond that will soon become a preferred natural habitat for local wildlife.

With a capacity of 250 litres, this preformed pond is ideal for use in small to medium-sized gardens or in areas with restricted space. Its compact size and functional design make it a great starter pond for novices - it comes with spacious shelving that's designed to accommodate the majority of planting basket shapes which makes it easy to plant different species at varying depths, depending on whether your plants of choice prefer shallow or deep water.

Perfect for those who want to introduce water into their garden quickly, this pond is very easy to set up. The installation process includes digging a hole, positioning the pond inside and then backfilling with sand or soil as you gradually add water. Don't forget to ensure that the pond remains completely level at all times during installation.

Made from tough HDPE that is resistant to UV rays and cold, icy weather conditions, this preformed pond will remain a flourishing aquatic habitat for many years if installed and maintained correctly.

This model is part of Blagdon's 'Dragonfly' collection which is also available in the following sizes: 150, 500, 750 and 1000.

Anne Wilson Asked:

This pond is to replace an existing much larger one which was installed using a pond liner, what can we use to fill in the gap underneath and around edges?

We Replied:

Dear Anne Thank you for your question. We would recommend using soil and then a lining of sand for the base and sides, no waste materials should be used as these could damage the pool. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton

Martin Cassell Asked:

if the pond overfills naturally from rain, do you let it run over one edge or is their an overflow system required?

We Replied:

Dear Martin Thank you for your question. Excess water would just run over the edges but it would take a heavy rainfall to flood the pond as you do not generally fill it to the top. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton
