Raised beds are a very useful way of growing both decorative plants and vegetables.

If your soil is very alkaline or chalky and you want to grow plants that require the opposite conditions, fill a raised bed with the soil that the plants prefer and the problem is solved.

With vegetables, you can grow and weed without treading on and compacting the earth. Hence, there's no need to dig to aerate the soil.

The Rowlinson 4ft x 4ft Raised Bed is constructed with pressure treated wood to protect against rot and will save you the time and trouble of sourcing timber and building your own.

It's also multi-purpose, if you have children and grandchildren, fill with sand and they can have the ideal sandpit.
