Description
A value for money Pond Heater Alternative that is also cheaper to run. This aeration unit can be used in the winter to keep areas of the pond free from ice, and then in the summer to increase the level of oxygen in the pond and reduce carbon dioxide levels.
When installing the air pump should be located in a covered area such as a shed or garage. In the winter the airstone should be placed no lower than 30cm from the bottom of the pond, This will ensure that the warmer, lower water regions, where there might be hibernators, are not cooled.
