The Hozelock 100 Watt Pond Heater will maintain an ice free area of the pond surface, using the effective heating element. A RoHS compliant pond heater which has a rating of 100 watts, ideal for keeping a section of your pond free of ice so that gases can escape and oxygen can get in. The dome heater can be positioned anywhere in your pond though to position it closer to the edge would be more convenient. There is no on/off switch so much be switched off from the mains. It will not melt all ice in your pond as this would be very costly and a much larger unit would need to be used for this.
