This filter kit gives you an Oase BioSmart 7000 pond filter, an optimally matched solids handling pump, pipe and clips to keep your pond healthy and clean.
Included with your kit, the BioSmart 7000 flow-through filter has a built in 9 watt UV lamp to stop green water and the easy clean foam handles allow for cleaning without getting your hands dirty.
You'll get a 2500 litre per hour pump, 3 metres of 20mm hose and your BioSmart 7000 filter.

I have a 2690 litre pond with13 goldfish. Is this pump/filter set ok to use with my pond? Can i leave the pump in the pond in the winter and filter outside in the winter? i turn off my present integral pump in the winter and store it indoors. i really want to stay with the Oase brand as i think they are reliable, but can you possibly advise me on any other pump/filter sets that are also reliable? i want something easy not complicated, and possibly not pressurised as i don't understand those!
We Replied:Dear Di Thank you for your question. This filter would be ideal for that sized pond. Regarding the filter, in winter some people do leave them running all year others turn the system off and drain the filter box, it is down to personal preference. We Replied:Dear Di Thank you for your question. If the unit is drained in winter it will need to be removed and also the pump to prevent damage. If the filter and pump are left running in the winter it can help to sustain the biological colony and reduce the risk of the pond freezing over, compared to the running cost and danger of low oxygen due to freezing. In an unheated pond, continuation will improve the speed of biological maturation at the beginning of the following season and give some protection in the event of winter warm spells.
