This heater pack contains everything needed to convert a biOrb from cold water to tropical.

I have a Biorb 60 and installed the standard 50w heater but it isn't raising the temperature to the correct level for tropical fish. Is the 100w upgrade a genuine biOrb accessory, can it be used as a replacement, and does it come complete and ready to install?

Dear David Thank you for your question. The 100w heater isn't a biOrb made accessory as they only have the 50w version. However, as other customers have had the same problem, we have created our own 100 watt heater pack. The pack contains a genuine biOrb heater, an AquaVital 100 watt heater (or similar brand), and thermometer. I quote your answer... 'The pack contains a genuine biOrb heater, an AquaVital 100 watt heater (or similar brand), and thermometer'. How can this be a genuine biOrb heater when you say it's an AquaVital? Is this safe and can it still be submersed like the biOrb 50w heater?

The 50w kits contain genuine biOrb heaters but as biOrb do not make a 100w kit we have to substitute the heater for another reliable brand which can be submersed. Dear Phil Thank you for your question. We would recommend using a 150w heater. They are not intended to be on at all times, ideally they just click on, heat up and turn off, which is what you will find happens if you use a 150w model.
