By installing a preformed pond in your garden, you'll not only be adding visual appeal to the environment, but you'll also be creating a thriving ecosystem. This model comes with marginal shelves that allow for varying planting depths (which is particularly useful for plant species that prefer shallow water). What's more, any visiting wildlife will use these shelves as 'stepping stones' to help themselves get in and out of the water as they please.
Installation is a quick and easy process - all you have to do is dig a hole in the ground, place the pond inside and then backfill with soft sand or soil as you slowly add water. It's imperative to ensure that the pond remains 100% level at all times during the installation process.
Constructed from tough HDPE plastic, this preformed pond is designed to stand the test of time. If installed and maintained appropriately, it will remain a thriving aquatic habitat for many years to come.

Please Note:
Ponds are supplied unboxed and are stored outside at our show site. It is normal for slight visual imperfections on the product's surface to be present upon delivery, including dirt and superficial marks. Due to the way they are moulded, pond edges may be subject to creasing during transportation, especially in warm weather conditions. These will settle once installed and do not affect the pond's integrity.

A good pond with useful plant shelves.
I ordered this as a second pond to keep pond weed and snails in. In a short time it was colonised by newts and the birds like it. I actually paid extra for a quick delivery and astonished to find this item delivered four hours later! A decent firm that gives very good service and a credit to good old Britain.

Good starter pond
The pond arrived in good time and met all my expectations. The only problem I have is how the heck do you remove the sticky labels placed on the inside of the pond??? I would have thought that the best place was on the outside so that if there were a problem it would not matter as they would be below ground!! Other than that I am happy with the pond and it looks good in my mini wildlife garden.
We Replied:Good Day Neil, Thank you for your fantastic review. To comment further about your feedback regarding the shipping labels, we did have a spate of lables which were peeling away from the pond and consequently we had to address this with our courier. It was concluded for us to continue distribution we must place the label on the inside of the pond which to date I have had no further issues. I would rest assured any residue from the label will come off easily with some white spirit or similar and ensure you swill this off to ensure suitability for fish!. Blagdon Mayfly 250 litre pond
The pond duly arrived on the revised scheduled date and was exactly as pictured on your website. (4* only was as it was not in stock and after the 5 - 7 days wait for you to get it in stock had passed by a few days I had to phone to find out where it was. Given that I had paid about £30 some 25 years ago for the leaking pond that it was replacing, the quality and £74.99 price and free delivery was acceptable but the full price would have been a shade OTT.

How many fish can you have in the Mayfly 250 and 500?
We Replied:Dear Shirley Thank you for your question. This is entirely dependent to what type of fish you want to keep. We would say that the 250 is not big enough for koi and the 500 could only accommodate 3-5 small koi who will need to be re-homed when they get bigger. If you were to keep Goldfish or Sarasa comets, the 250 could house around 10 small fish and the 500 around 20.
