Three types of glazing are available for your greenhouse. Choose from standard horticultural, long pane toughened or 6mm polycarbonate options which let you customise your greenhouse to suit your needs.
Glass diagram images below are for demonstration of the glazing styles and may differ depending on your chosen greenhouse model.
with Horticultural Glazing (SO0201)
Standard 3mm glass which consists mostly of 2ft by 2ft panes, overlapping each other with the use of clips to hold one above another. This type of glass is traditional and very economical but tends to shatter into shards when smashed, so isn't recommended if you have children or pets.

Long pane 3mm toughened glass is a lot stronger, and more durable than standard horticultural glass. In the rare event of it shattering, it breaks into safer smaller pieces. It is also neater and needs less maintenance as no overlapping glass means there is no algae build up and no Z clips to fit.

with Polycarbonate Glazing (SO0208)
Polycarbonate is a virtually unbreakable material, better described as being a highly durable, 4mm thick twin-wall, opaque coloured plastic glaze rather than actual glass. This makes it the safest material where children and pets are concerned and the simplest type to install due to the large yet lighter panes. It also refracts the light very well.

All greenhouses need to be fitted onto a secure base. This can be achieved by using an official Halls branded metal base plinth to give the greenhouse added strength and height. Alternatively you can build a brick base to fit your greenhouse size if you prefer.

Installation Services
with Greenhouse Installation
We can arrange to have your Halls Greenhouse, plus any other Halls accessories you purchase together.
Available to domestic addresses only (no allotments) within mainland England. But excludes Wales, Scotland, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and Offshore Islands. Installation is normally completed within 6 - 12 weeks after the delivery of your greenhouse.
Note: A base plinth MUST be purchased above for installation services to be valid. The installers will not complete the installation without a matching base plinth. Please find our Halls Installation Terms and Preparation Checklist here.

Delivery Information
Delivery Timeframes & Charges
Delivery is normally within 20 working days (4 weeks) to mainland England and Wales areas.
Delivery is normally within 30 working days (6 weeks) to Scotland and Offshore Isles/Islands.
Delivery is normally within 40 working days (8 weeks) to Northern Ireland due to the extra distance and carriage logistics.
Delivery charges can be found under the “Delivery Services” options above. Unfortunately, delivery to; Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Guernsey and Northern Ireland will incur a higher delivery charge due to the additional logistics of sending a greenhouse, and the extra distance required by the delivery carrier.
Unfortunately, we can't ship this product range to the Republic of Ireland.
For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.
Installation Services
Installation services may be available on some greenhouse products and is limited to domestic addresses only (no allotments) within mainland England and Wales, but excludes Scotland, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and Offshore Islands. Installation is normally completed within 6 - 12 weeks after the successful delivery of your greenhouse. The greenhouse will need to be stored in a safe and dry location during the interim period. Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 15 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable. Goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.

Great greenhouse
Love this greenhouse, perfect size and sturdy. We added extra brick layers as a base to give extra height. Went together fine, bit fiddly but once my husband and I stopped arguing and read the instructions it went swimmingly. I would advise not to do on the hottest day of the whilst standing inside and putting glass panes in. Definately a two person job. We bought layer the auto vent openers which I would recommend highly.

Good greenhouse with minor issue on instructions
Great delivery as scheduled and driver very helpful. Greenhouse 10x6 looks good and solid. Good base and gives stability and extra height. This is now the second one we have had (but larger) and is still quality. Took a long long while to construct though and instructions were unclear in some places and the pictures were rather dark but with trial and error we got there. Good company to deal with but it would be helpful if the pictures were clearer in the instructions. In our experience go for a Halls greenhouse and not some cheap copy otherwise you may well regret it. Very pleased overall.

A good choice

Excellent product
Have been buying/using these Halls popular greenhouses for 25 years at three different properties. They are straightforward to assemble and robust and long lasting, one broken pain of glass in all those years of a windy/wet Cornwall. We initially had one, 8x6. We moved house and bought two, 8x6 and a 6x6. We have now moved again and have purchased another two, each 10x6. They add a whole new dimension to gardening and allow gardening right through the winter. They are basic, but I am a plant grower and they are there to do a job, not to add an architectural feature to the garden, and they do that job very well. I always bolt mine on to a low ( 9 inch block ) wall, set on a concrete base. Bit of work, but never going to move and easy to keep tidy and maintain. Desert grapes, peaches, lemons, figs, safe haven for seedlings and ailing plants. Very easy to add feature like auto vents, supports etc. Highly recommended.

Great product and helpful company
Ordering - easy, delivery- on time, really helpful advice was on hand by phone from GardenSite on assembly and the product itself does what it says on the tin. It was put up within two days by one person. The door took some thinking because there are no instructions on that and its not on the utube videos. Instructions can be so much better but thats not the fault of GardenSite.

If positioned on soil, will this greenhouse be strong enough to withstand high winds?
We Replied:Dear Len Thank you for your question. As standard, the base frame kit for these greenhouses comes with pre-installed spikes which secure down into soft ground such as soil or grass, thus offering a more stable base frame for the rest of the greenhouse to be installed onto. Once the real glass has been installed (horticultural or toughened) along with the metal frame and base, the greenhouse is quite weighty and secure. However, if you live in a high-wind prone area and the greenhouse is to be sited in an open space without any natural wind barriers near such as fences, hedges etc then you may wish to look at an Eden branded greenhouse instead as they offer a thicker main frame more suited to withstand higher winds. I have prepared a concrete base measuring 6'10" x 10'1.5". Is it necessary to secure the greenhouse to it or can I leave it free standing. If I do need to attach, how do I do that?
We Replied:Dear Vic Thank you for your question. We would always recommend securing the greenhouse to a hard standing base, with the use of L-brackets and anchor bolts.
