Description
The Halls Popular 6ft by 10ft greenhouse is the largest black-framed greenhouse within the Hall's popular range, offering a large, modern-looking growing area for all your favourite fruits, veg and flowers.
The Halls popular black 6ft x 10ft greenhouse has superb quality and many features including an expansive growing area with ample space for a large variety of decorative plants and vegetables.
Its modern appearance owes much to a black powder coating which also gives the strong aluminium frame extra protection and durability, effectively eliminating weathering and corrosion.
Sunlight and warmth stream through the extensive glazing, available in either 3mm horticultural glass, 4mm toughened glass or 4mm polycarbonate glazing, creating a wonderfully productive environment with temperature and humidity controlled by two roof vents.
Other features include a single door that slides open for easy access, and integral guttering along both sides of the roof which, when connected to a suitable water butt, will allow you to capture and recycle rainwater.

Three types of glazing are available for your greenhouse. Choose from standard horticultural, long pane toughened or 6mm polycarbonate options which let you customise your greenhouse to suit your needs.

Standard 3mm glass which consists mostly of 2ft by 2ft panes, overlapping each other with the use of clips to hold one above another. This type of glass is traditional and very economical but tends to shatter into shards when smashed, so isn't recommended if you have children or pets.

Long pane 3mm toughened glass is a lot stronger, and more durable than standard horticultural glass. In the rare event of it shattering, it breaks into safer smaller pieces. It is also neater and needs less maintenance as no overlapping glass means there is no algae build up and no Z clips to fit.

Polycarbonate is a virtually unbreakable material, better described as being a highly durable, 4mm thick twin-wall, opaque coloured plastic glaze rather than actual glass. This makes it the safest material where children and pets are concerned and the simplest type to install due to the large yet lighter panes. It also refracts the light very well.

All greenhouses need to be fitted onto a secure base. This can be achieved by using an official Halls branded metal base plinth to give the greenhouse added strength and height. Alternatively you can build a brick base to fit your greenhouse size if you prefer.

We can arrange to have your Halls Greenhouse, plus any other Halls accessories you purchase together.
Available to domestic addresses only (no allotments) within mainland England. But excludes Wales, Scotland, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and Offshore Islands. Installation is normally completed within 6 - 12 weeks after the delivery of your greenhouse.
Note: A base plinth MUST be purchased above for installation services to be valid. The installers will not complete the installation without a matching base plinth. Please find our Halls Installation Terms and Preparation Checklist here.

Delivery Information
Delivery Timeframes & Charges
Delivery is normally within 20 working days (4 weeks) to mainland England and Wales areas.
Delivery is normally within 30 working days (6 weeks) to Scotland and Offshore Isles/Islands.
Delivery is normally within 40 working days (8 weeks) to Northern Ireland due to the extra distance and carriage logistics.
Delivery charges can be found under the “Delivery Services” options above. Unfortunately, delivery to; Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Guernsey and Northern Ireland will incur a higher delivery charge due to the additional logistics of sending a greenhouse, and the extra distance required by the delivery carrier.
Unfortunately, we can't ship this product range to the Republic of Ireland.
For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.
Installation Services
Installation services may be available on some greenhouse products and is limited to domestic addresses only (no allotments) within mainland England and Wales, but excludes Scotland, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and Offshore Islands. Installation is normally completed within 6 - 12 weeks after the successful delivery of your greenhouse. The greenhouse will need to be stored in a safe and dry location during the interim period. Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 15 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable. Goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.

Very good quality service and price.
Delivery took around a week from order and a couple of updates by email and phone kept me well informed of progress. On the day the driver arrived at the stated time and was very helpful offloading. It is useful if you’ve got somewhere to park a large vehicle but if not then the 2 frame packages are light enough to be carried by hand and the crate containing the glass can be moved into smaller spaces using the vehicle’s onboard sack truck. Packaging is good with polythene overwrapping so if you need to leave the packages outside for a while the cardboard should stay reasonably dry. The frame sub assembles when built are light and easy to move around, with a good quality, attractive, not quite full gloss black finish. The glass was well packed inside the crate within 6 or 7 cardboard and foam cartons and there were no chipped or broken sheets in my delivery. The instructions, which if you follow thoroughly are good, say you need 2 people for assembly. This would probably help but I managed it on my own with a bit of propping here and there and leaving all the bolts loose when erecting definitely helps with alignment. Once assembled with the glass fitted the whole thing is solid and although I don’t have a particularly exposed site it does seem to be stable in some strong gusts. I took my time and built the frame on one day and glazed the next but you could likely get the whole thing finished in a single day if so inclined. A few things I learned along the way: - If there’s even a baby’s breath of a breeze on the day(s) you plan to build or glaze it, find another job to do. - I spent a lot of time getting the sub base flat, square and level. I can imagine that if this is not done it could lead to problems with fitting the glass. - I fitted the rubber glazing bead after erecting the frame. This seemed easier than fiddling around with individual parts or a loose frame. - The supplied metal base is a must for taller people. I’m 6’-1” and with it I can easily stand upright inside which would not be the case without. - Pay particular attention to the instructions when assembling and fitting the doors and roof vents. - There are enough, but only a few spare nuts, bolts and glass clips so try not to lose any. - Most importantly for me the horticultural glass panes are not heavy but are very fragile and sharp. I bought a double ended glass sucker so that I could hold the glass safely with one hand and manoeuvre it into the frame with the other, gloved, hand. I am convinced that this saved any breakages and much stress. If you aren’t used to handling glass (I’m not) then using one of these low cost tools will prove invaluable. Overall, for the quality service and price I’m very pleased.

Excellent product and quality service
The only place I could find the black frame was with GardenSite. Once ordered it arrived within a few days and was reasonably easy to assemble, with a little patience. The frame is surprisingly sturdy once attached to the complimentary base, which other companies are currently charging for! I also got a free auto window opener which was a nice gesture. An outstanding company to deal with and a first class product.

what a great deal this is, i have been looking for a black greenhouse for some time now and to get this is outstanding service i love it and i have a few people asking me where i got it the only slight downside is that where i live i would have been prepared to pay extra for toughend glass hey ho it is by far the best greenhouse i have seen for the money. thank you very much you have made an old man very happy

Very Happy with this Greenhouse
Looks good and a great size for everything I want to grow, I couldn't find the black frame anywhere else so I'm glad I found GardenSite. Delivery was as promised, you might want to take advanatage of the installation option as bits of the assembly were difficult for me, perhaps it would have been wiser to ask for help. Overall, very pleased with what really is a value for money greenhouse.
