Description
This compact yet powerful pressurised pond filter, the FiltoClear 5000, uses both mechanical and biological filtration methods and is suitable for ponds up to 5000 litres with no fish or 2500 litres with goldfish.
Cleverly designed in Germany by experts, this pressurised pond filter will provide you with crystal clear water for ponds without fish up to 5000 litres in volume or ponds containing fish up to 2500 litres in volume using both the filter system and UVC technology.
Included are two grades of foam filter media: One is a medium filter foam, coloured purple and the other is for fine debris, coloured red. Both are easily cleaned by redirecting the 2-way valve to the waste outlet as opposed to the pond outlet before pulling the top handle, which when pulled will squeeze the foams ridding them of their sludge.
The system also makes use of an 18 Watt ultraviolet clarifier (UVC) which is a small ultraviolet light that water gets pumped through with the purpose of eliminating green water, algae and harmful bacteria by clumping it together as it passes through, allowing the foams to catch them before they're cleaned. This UVC is easily changed without having to turn off or take apart the filter in any way.
This filter is recommended to be used with the AquaMax Eco Premium 4000 or any pump with a maximum flow rate of 5000 LPH. You can purchase the filter and pump together here as the FiltoClear 5000 Set.
The durable and hardwearing plastic housing of the filter allows it to be partially buried in the ground for optimal discretion. And using the FiltoCap rock cover, which can be added to your order below, you can fully disguise your unit allowing it to blend into its surroundings. From here, the return pipe can be raised above the ground providing a flow back to a stream, waterfall or just back to your pond.
The inlet/outlet/waste outlet of the filter takes 38mm/50mm (1 1/2"/2") pipe which doesn't come supplied but the connections (hosetails) and fittings do.
