Ideal as an entry level, very reliable, flow through filter, the BioSmart 18000 is suitable for ponds up to 18 cubic metres.
Simple to install, this is an easy and efficient way to ensure that your pond stays fresh and clear, with toxic products transformed in harmless end products.
Special water channelling creates additional oxygen enrichment and, as the filter can be matched with clarifiers, an Aquamax filter and watercourse pumps, it will become a vital part of your pond's eco system.
There's a handy display that indicates the level of pollution in the pond and also the temperature. Maintenance is simple with a sludge drain so that coarse debris can be easily removed.
Perfect whatever your experience, the filter can be concealed with the filter housing recessed into the ground.

Is a BioSmart 18000 a suitable replacement for my old Biotec 5 box? I would probably add a Vit 36W UV clarifier as well. Pond size is probably close to 6 cubic metres and for some reason this year will not clear

Dependent on what fish you have in the pond this will be ok, It will be appropriate for up to 9 cubic metres with goldfish and 4.5 cubic metres with koi.
