Small yet mighty, the FiltoClear 5000 pressurized pond filter set from Oase comes supplied with a submersible filter pump that sports the optimum flow rate for the filter for a set that will supply your pond with clean and clear water for years to come.
Designed by German engineers for an effective and long-lasting product, this filter set is suitable for ponds up to 5000 Litres in volume or 2500 Litres if the pond contains fish. It uses both mechanical and biological filtration to supply your pond with crystal clear water, free from bacteria and algae buildup.
The filter itself comes with a purple, medium grade foam and a red, fine foam for the smallest of particles. By changing the direction of the 2-way valve to the waste outlet before pulling the handle found at the top of the unit, these foams will be squeezed, ejecting the sludge within out through the aforementioned waste outlet.
The integrated 18 Watt ultraviolet clarifier (UVC) provides further effective biological filtration by eliminating algae, green water and bacteria before it gets returned to your pond. This UVC can easily be replaced or removed without having to turn off the filter or take it apart.
To complete the set, the AquaMax Eco Premium 4000 submersible solids handling pump comes complete with the filter. This provides your filter with the optimal flow rate required without any risk of damage.
The filter's housing is made from durable and hardwearing plastic, allowing you to partially bury your filter, up to the marked line (detailed in the instructions). This allows your filter to blend into your garden without it standing out! Conceal your filter further by using a FiltoCap rock cover, available to add to your order below, which has been specially designed for use with Filtoclear filters to disguise them as a natural rock.
As the unit is a pressure filter, the return pipe can be raised above the ground, providing a steady flow back to a waterfall, stream or just back to your pond. The inlet/outlet/waste outlet of the filter takes 38mm/50mm (1 1/2"/2") pipe which doesn't come supplied, however, the connections (hosetails) and fittings are supplied.
