Description
The Forest Mendip 16x13 log cabin is one of largest contemporary styled cabins in the range, being built to the highest specification finish.
Manufactured from chunky 45mm smooth planed interlocking logs, it's double glazed throughout with three tilt and turn windows and double doors. The interior is bright and light so the Mendip log cabin is perfect to use as a home office or summerhouse, somewhere to work or relax in comfort. If you have outgrown your house or need to get away from domestic distractions, the Mendip offers a spacious alternative.
Included as standard you'll find a thick 19mm wooden internal floor, a total of three windows, premium roof felt with a long 15-year lifespan and easy access double door entry. Available to be home delivered nationwide, offering a practical and easy way to extend your home.

Wood Preservation
We advise that as the timber supplied for this log cabin is untreated, a wood preservative, stain, or paint is used on the product as soon as possible to increase its durability and waterproofing abilities. Ideally, at least the floor and bearers should be treated with an outdoor wood preservative before installation, as access may be restricted once fully installed.

Installation Services
with Log Cabin Installation (+IN)
If you don't have the time or requisite DIY skills, a home assembly service is available for this log cabin. This nationwide service is conducted by our skilled Forest installation teams at an agreed time that is convenient for you.
Please note that this service is assembly only. It does not include laying bases or disassembling existing buildings.
Installation Time Frame: The installation will not happen on the day of delivery, a separate date will be arranged prior to the successful delivery of the log cabin.
Home delivery and assembly is excluded in the following postcodes BT, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA, KW PA, PH, PO, TR and ZE.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 4 - 6 weeks (Please allow a few more days for parts of Scotland) but may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.
Installation
If you have purchased an installation service with us, available on selected Forest branded sheds, structures and buildings then this is completed after successful delivery of the product and is generally completed with 2 - 4 weeks following. After successful delivery, you will be contacted directly by the installers to book in an installation date. Please ensure that you have checked the delivery for all components and keep in a safe, dry place until the installation occurs.
Please note that this service is assembly only. It does not include laying bases or disassembling existing buildings.
Installation/assembly is excluded in the following postcodes BT, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA, KW PA, PH, PO, TR, ZE, and any other offshore islands, highlands, or countries.
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.

Worth the investment
We actually bought this some time ago and I'm only just getting around to reviewing it. First of all, the service from GardenSite was very good, I had one or two queries and they were answered quickly and to my satisfaction. This cabin is quite an investment so I wanted to know all the facts. Delivery was on the date stated and installation (that I paid extra for) was efficient and worth the money as I would probably be still putting it up. All the materials are good quality and the overall appearance is very appealing. The interior is light and we been using it as a music room most of the time until lockdown when it became a home office. The cabin was ideal for both purposes. If you can afford it, this is a well built structure that we have enjoyed using and will do for quite a long time to come.
