Description
There's no need to go to the disruption and expense of building an extension to your home if you have a Forest Chiltern 13ft x 10ft log cabin with double glazing, the ideal solution if you are running short of house space.
Perfect for a hobby room, garden office, or somewhere away from the house where children can let off steam, this roomy cabin is warm in the colder months, well ventilated in the summer, with a bright interior throughout the year.
Boasting Scandinavian style with chalet cut corners adding strength, only premium quality timber which is precision cut is used to construct the cabin, and all the wood has been kiln-dried to prevent splitting and warping.
Weatherproofing is provided by 45mm interlocking cladding and there's a choice of green felt shingles or polyester felt with an underlay to cover the roof which, like the floor, is made up of sturdy 19mm tongue & groove boards.
Extensive double glazing has excellent light transmission and at the same time maximizes insulation while double doors offer easy to access although they are fitted with a rim lock if any valuable items inside need to be secured.

Wood Preservation
We advise that as the timber supplied for this log cabin is untreated, a wood preservative, stain, or paint is used on the product as soon as possible to increase its durability and waterproofing abilities. Ideally, at least the floor and bearers should be treated with an outdoor wood preservative before installation, as access may be restricted once fully installed.

Installation Services
with Log Cabin Installation (+IN)
If you don't have the time or requisite DIY skills, a home assembly service is available for this log cabin. This nationwide service is conducted by our skilled Forest installation teams at an agreed time that is convenient for you.
Please note that this service is assembly only. It does not include laying bases or disassembling existing buildings.
Installation Time Frame: The installation will not happen on the day of delivery, a separate date will be arranged prior to the successful delivery of the log cabin.
Home delivery and assembly is excluded in the following postcodes BT, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA, KW PA, PH, PO, TR and ZE.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 4 - 6 weeks (Please allow a few more days for parts of Scotland) but may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.
Installation
If you have purchased an installation service with us, available on selected Forest branded sheds, structures and buildings then this is completed after successful delivery of the product and is generally completed with 2 - 4 weeks following. After successful delivery, you will be contacted directly by the installers to book in an installation date. Please ensure that you have checked the delivery for all components and keep in a safe, dry place until the installation occurs.
Please note that this service is assembly only. It does not include laying bases or disassembling existing buildings.
Installation/assembly is excluded in the following postcodes BT, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA, KW PA, PH, PO, TR, ZE, and any other offshore islands, highlands, or countries.
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.
