Every enthusiastic gardener will appreciate the easy accessibility of this 6ft x 4ft Cold Frame, whether it's used to extend the growing season, grow a wider range of plants or harden off seedlings. 

The rigid frame is fabricated from architectural aluminium and can be powder coated in one of six colours, it's very hardwearing and this enviable strength is reflected in a 25 year guarantee that's offered by the manufacturers.

Glazing is 3mm toughened glass that will shatter safely rather than break into shards, it also retains heat very well to create a warm and light filled environment that all your plants will love.

Panels on the top and sides will slide open if you are acclimatizing seedlings ready to plant out or if effective ventilation is required during the summer. There's also a louvre vent available as an option, this operates manually or automatically according to the temperature, which is particularly helpful if you are ever on holiday.

Other options include is a misting system, which fits to a hose and ensures that all your plants and seedlings are gently sprinkled with water without damaging them. Seed tray shelves will increase capacity even further and, to prevent overheating, there's a shade cover.

Delivery Information

Free Delivery within Mainland England and Wales

Delivery is normally within 5 - 10 working days for in-stock standard models, and 15 - 25 working days for powder-coated / colour-frame models (as these are made to order).

Delivery to Scotland is inclusive up to and including Glasgow and Edinburgh but not above. Above Glasgow and Edinburgh, and the Scottish Highlands will unfortunately incur a separate delivery charge due to carrier restrictions - For a quote to these locations, simply add your chosen item to the basket, and then choose the "Quote Me Now" button at the bottom of the basket and we'll email you back with our lowest priced quotation for your consideration.

Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and any offshore islands will also need to be quoted for delivery on a case-by-case basis.

Choosing & Unloading Your Delivery
A delivery date will be booked in in advance via direct contact from the third-party courier service via phone, text or email. A choice of available dates will be available to you, with a 3-hour time slot on the chosen day.

Due to the nature of this product and carrier restrictions, we cannot always guarantee that the delivery can be made to a preferred location, including a room inside of your home or to the back garden, and on occasions may only be able to be made to the front of the property or the nearest location. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable. Goods on a pallet can only be maneuvered on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway).

Cold frame revies

Arrived in two separate deliveries which I wasn’t expecting - but when I called to ask on the first delivery whether the remainder had gone missing the staff were extremely helpful. Second delivery arrived the following day. All arrived safely. Assembly is quite time consuming and fiddly. It needs two people. The instructions frankly could be better - the diagrams are of poor quality and slightly confusing and the parts are not that well identified. One 10mm bolt was missing. The instructions were particularly poor in explaining the nylon strips the glass runs along and very fiddly to put in with some cheap double sided sticky tape. But, when completed, the finished product is robust and I’m sure will last a lifetime. Am pleased it is available in a selection of colours.
