Description
Sheds such as this Overlap 8ft x 6ft Apex, with the door on the longer side, are becoming increasingly popular. This reverse style perfectly meets the requirements of many of our customers who may have a restricted outside space.
Built with the same quality materials as any other Forest shed, the cladding is square cut mixed softwood which is very durable and weatherproof. The same can be sand of the black sand felt that protects a sheet roof.
The shed's interior is therefore unsurprisingly very dry, with tough pressure-treated board flooring, ideal for any items that need to be kept in good order. Security is ensured by a reinforced door that has been braced for strength, it can be hung from either side with hidden hinges and there's also a hasp & staple latch.
Polycarbonate glazing is an ideal choice for glazing the single window. For a start it's unbreakable and other qualities include resistance to yellowing and brittleness. Security screws keep the glazing in place.
Only FSC timber from sustainable forests is used in the shed's construction, there's no need to treat with preservative as the pressure treated timber already has a 25-year guarantee against decay and rot.

If you have a concrete, slabbed or patio area prepared already, and wish to not heighten your new Forest structure off the ground, then it can be installed straight on top of your already prepared area, without the need for a base frame.

We offer fast and free delivery within mainland UK on our Forest sheds.
Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 3 - 5 working days for the majority of mainland UK locations (exclusions apply - see below for details). Delivery times may be extended during busy times of the year depending on the availability of delivery vehicles.
For the majority of mainland UK locations, Forest products are delivered to your home directly by the manufacturer. In this instance you will receive a message by phone or email with details to manually book in a chosen delivery date.
For limited areas of south east England, limited areas of the south west England, and Scotland, Forest products are delivered by a third party carrier. In this instance, the carrier will contact you directly to book a delivery date once your order is ready at their delivery centre.
- Deliveries to the below postcode areas can take up to 7 working days extra, on top of the advertised lead-time:

Installation
If you have purchased an installation service with us, available on selected Forest branded sheds, structures and buildings then this is completed after successful delivery of the product and is generally completed within 1 - 2 weeks following. After successful delivery, you will be contacted directly by the installers to book in an installation date. Please ensure that you have checked the delivery for all components and keep in a safe, dry place until the installation occurs.
Unfortunately, installation is not available to the following postcodes: BT1-BT99, GY1-GY9, HS1-HS9, IM1-IM9, IV41-IV56, JE1-JE5, KA27-KA28, KW15-KW17, PO30-PO41, PO49, TR21-TR25.
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5-ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.

My Second Purchase very happy
I had previously purchased from Gardensite and was so pleased with the quality and service, I decided to search for a shed from them too. After checking out prices elsewhere online, I confirmed they were very competitive so decided to order. The delivery was within three days, and at a time I wanted. Really helpful delivery driver, nothing was too much trouble. That weekend I decided to erect the shed, with a little help from my wife holding items together we had it up in no time. Easy to follow instructions and great quality parts, we now have a shed to be proud of. I am very happy and would definately recommend great value for money and a great quality product.

Do you need the shed base if building the shed on concrete and what sized concrete base do you need for an 8 x 6 shed?
We Replied:Dear Moz Thank you for your question. Ideally, you will require a hard standing surface therefore concrete is ideal. The floor of the shed includes bearers which will sit on the existing concrete surface and will allow for air circulation between them and wooden floor. Your base will need to be several inches larger than the shed base which is 7ft 8ins wide and 5ft 10ins deep. Yes, the spikes are designed to be driven into the ground to hold the base frame in place, and can also help with minor variations in the flatness of the land. 3.
