This covered styrofoam planter floats on the water. The square shape means you can join two or more together to make a larger island (linking loops included) or even a chequerboard effect.

I like the idea of the floating island, but can you recommend a couple of low-lying and colourful plants to put in it ? I've never managed to grow waterlilies in my pond and any other plants I have introduced have rapidly taken over and self seeded outside the container. There are no fish but masses of frogspawn at the moment. The pond does not have much shade and is about 6 feet diameter.We Replied:
