How can I test the UV lamp?

Thank you for your question.
The UV lamp cannot be tested outside of the main unit once the unit is assembled. Turn the power on and look at the viewing port located on the top of the ballast unit, a small blue light should be seen when covered over.

The ballast has failed and needs replacing if you put a brand new bulb in and reconnect the ballast to the main unit and there is no blue glow through the viewing window
