Monday 14th, March, 2016I have a Bitron 110 uv filter around 16 years old, and when I turned it on after the winter there was a popping sound from the ballast head and the light which had at first turned on briefly, went out, I assume the ballast unit has failed and needs replacing. The old head has a underslung rectangular protrusion piece, whereas the current replacement as shown on the exploded view spares diagram does not. Are the heads interchangeable and will the latest version fit?

The image does not show the ballast correctly they will still have the protrusion on and if you select the 31002 part number 12 will fit your unit.
