I have got an older model Hozelock Bioforce (pre 2000). It needs its UV bulb replacing as the water is green and the pump and filter are working fine. The trouble is I don't know how to access it, as my late husband used to see to it. Can you tell me how to access the bulb so that I know the sort of bulb to buy and also how to change it?

Thank you for your question.
The bioforce lid should be held down with ether a belt or 5 or so clips, turn the power supply of unclip or unbelt the fastenings and you can remove the head then you should see white tube this may or may not have a screw holding it in place, once this is removed the white part should twist off exposing a glass tube with a black collar this should have a screw in that needs removing, once the glass tube is removed carefully pull the bulb out of the ballast unit for replacement.
