Description
Imagine the perfect log cabin, it's easy if you try, and you may well be thinking of the Lennon Log Cabin from Lugarde.
You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one who realises that, with a large double door and five windows, this cabin is full of light, perfect for spending time and unwinding out of the house but still within a cosy and private atmosphere.
Robustly built from dense kiln-dried European pinewood, it is a substantial structure with a delightful appearance helped by superb build standards and neat touches such as the chalet corners.
Sealed double glazing and efficient draught exclusion means that the cabin has a welcoming interior. In the summer the lockable double doors can be opened to introduce a cooling breeze, so this is a lovely location in which to relax all year round.
Considering this is such an impressive structure, assembly is made easy by Lugarde's stack system. All fixtures, fittings and instructions are supplied, and this includes the shingled roof elements that can be one of five colours.

Floor Customisations
without a Floor
A no floor option for if you plan on placing your summerhouse straight onto a decked, patio, slabbed or concrete area and wish to use that as your summerhouse floor.
with Internal Floor
Internal floors are made from 19mm thick pine wooden boards which connect together with tongue and groove edges. The floor also includes pressure treated floor beams/bearers to raise the floor off the ground protecting against rising damp.
Insulation Customisations
with Floor Insulation
The floor insulation for internal floors consists of 40mm thick thermal boards. They are placed in between the pressure treated floor beams and the floor.
Note: Only compatible if you have chosen to include an internal floor (above).
with Roof Insulation
Roof Insulation is normally placed between the roof boards and outer roof covering. The roof insulation material is 40mm thick and comes complete with required fixings to attach it into place.
with Double Wall Insulation
Wall insulation consists of a second internal wooden wall layer of wallboards (19mm thick) along with a breathable 50mm foil insulation and vapour barrier membrane to go in between the internal wall and the main outer wall.
Treatment Customisations
Buildings are delivered untreated (exc. foundation beams which are pressure treated), or choose a pre-treatment upgrade.
Pre-Treatment - Completed on the interior and exterior sections, including main walls, door/window frames and floor (if applies). Spray pre-treatment includes a primer and an after-spray pre-treatment to protect the wood against rot and fungi. The exterior should be re-treated yearly for optimal weather protection.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 30 - 40 working days (6 - 8 weeks) but may be extended during busy times of the year. The carrier will be in contact to book a convenient delivery date nearer the delivery timeframe.
Vehicles We Use
Cabins are delivered directly to you from the Lugarde factory in Holland in a self-assembly kit form and will be offloaded using a piggy-back forklift truck to the nearest curbside only. The lorry is a large articulated type and so access must be suitable should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the manoeuvring the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.
Bespoke Crafted To Order Notice
A Lugarde building order cannot be cancelled once it has been dispatched. These items are deemed as a bespoke product as each one is crafted to order on a one-off basis specifically for you. Wood is a unique and natural product and the finish on the boards will vary. Variation will be seen as coarse or fine grain and shades of colour. Such properties are normal in wood and cannot be seen as a defect.
