With a lovely deep colour, these highly decorative Meadow View blue slate garden chippings in 40mm size will make such an impact on your garden, creating an almost instant makeover to a border, pathway or around plants.
These chippings are perfect for garden landscaping projects, boasting a deep blue-grey colour and immediately recognizable texture. Slate helps to create a wonderfully distinctive and resilient surface for a path or drive that will contrast very tremendously well with the rest of the garden. As well as being deeply decorative, the slate will make a great mulch for any type of container and flower borders, where it will control weeds and help to retain moisture by reducing water evaporation from the soil.
Available in pre-packed bags, as 50x 20kg bags on a pallet, or in a 1-tonne bulk bag, these 40mm blue slate chippings will be delivered direct to your home by Meadow View who are acknowledged market leaders in aggregates.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not manoeuvre these palletised items inside your home or back garden or up steps (or single step). When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. (Please note this will NOT be delivered with a Hiab lorry so it cannot be craned off into your preferred position).
Where does the blue slate come from? How deep should the slate be when used within a courtyard and alongside paving stones? How many palettes of slate would I need to fill an area 35m in length x 5m width. What needs to be laid under the slate to ensure no weeds etc can grow and would you supply this?
We Replied:No 1: The slate is from north wales. No 2: Slate would not be any use for a courtyard if vehicles are going to drive on it. No 3: The depth would be a minimum of 1 inch on border areas, and deeper on a drive customers choice. No 4: heavy duty landscape fabric on the courtyard and borders to stop weeds. The amount required for the area the customer is quoting would be a minimum of 22 tonnes, 1 ton covers approx 8 metres square.
