As well as being able to grow climbing plants on the sides, it also makes for an eye-pleasing focal in the garden, particular over a pathway or entrance. The Ultima Pergola Arch is crafted from planed timber and so is smooth to the touch, adding a natural feel to an already impressive structure. It is freestanding, secured with matching feet anchors (see options below) or can be sunk into the ground via the extra post length underneath the trellis.

Rafters provide a stylish pergola-style roof on top of the arch, which is all simple to assemble and is pressure treated for a long life. The timber itself is responsibly sourced from right here in the UK, using a minimum of 70% FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified timber.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 3 - 5 working days (Please allow a few more days for parts of Scotland) but may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.

Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.

A well made arch

I only reduced the rating for this arch because the screws provided are two small and week for large parts and there are too few of them specified to hold the screens. Also the assembly instructions tell you to assemble the whole structure before mounting. This meant that one has a very heavy structure to raise and manoeuvre which risks putting a strain on the parts. I decided to place each side of arch separately in oversize pre-dug holes (a one man job) and then align with joining timbers. This takes some careful measurements and levelling but is much easier than manoeuvring complete structure which requires a team of weightlifters!

pergola arch

I was happy with the price and the delivery of this product, but rather disappointed with the quality of the trellis panels as they don't seem to sit in the framework very well. Only time will tell if they are strong enough to support the grape vine it has been bought for

We love This Pergola

We love This Pergola which we have positioned over a Homemade planter. We have draped mini miniature solar powered lanterns around the outside and four Oriental styled lanterns in the Centre which each contain solar power light bulbs. In addition to the normal summer border plants I have planted Clematis, Climbing Rose, And a Grape Vine to compliment the arch and they are already progressing nicely. My wife loves it especially in the evenings when it continues to provide a perfect focal point to the Garden.

Took a while to arrive but it was worth the wait.

Very good quality timbers; the arch is sturdy and remarkably solid in position. I would echo the comments regarding the fixings; not enough and too short. Mine was constructed with 80 and 100 mm screws with twice the number specilied at almost every position. But it all went together well and looks lovely in the sunshine.

Outstanding Quality Arch

First class well designed pergola made of sturdy tanalised timber, easily assembled and well pleased with focal point to our barbecue area. fixing screws supplied not man enough to hold structure together firmly, but well satisfied with product and excellent service from Halls Garden Centre.

Great company - great product

Good quality sturdy construction. More substantial than those I've seen in any garden centre or store, and better priced. Looks good with the curved braces, really makes a statement. Could really do with longer and more substantial screws and even a couple more for the trellis, I actually added a couple more. For a few pence is it not worth it.
