Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 3 - 5 working days. Please allow a few more days for parts of Scotland, and note that delivery times may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.

An excellent arch but freestanding! There's is no provision for fixing it down. The legs are not long enough to set in concrete and are too thin to fix in conventional metposts (in fact they were thinner than the dimensions given).

Rowlinson Round Garden Arch

The arch is well made and sturdy and should give good ong term value. Upon deliery, however, it was found that the fixings were scattered and missing. Upon reporting this, a new set of fixings was requested and arrived after several days. More care needs to be taken in package of these items.

Is using metal spikes the best way to fix the arch into soil? Or is there another method?

We Replied:

Dear Nigel Thank you for your question. You are correct, for installing an arch into soil or grass the easiest way we would recommend doing this would be with the use of metal spikes which can be buried into the ground and then the arch post feet are clamped into the spike. As the post thickness on this arch is 67mm, we would recommend the following size spikes: https://www.gardensite.co.uk/Landscaping/Forest_fencefast_easyfit_spike_Spike_length_600mm.htm Alternatively, you could pick up 4 pieces of wood around 50-70cm in length from a local timber or DIY store which you could treat with a wood preservative, and then hammer these into the ground leaving a couple of inches out of the ground which could then be screwed to the arch's post feet.
