Marion Patterson Asked:
Are these flower circles really freestanding or is it advisable to use spikes to anchor them?
We Replied:
Dear Marion
Thank you for your question.
When you purchase you're able to choose between spikes for soft ground or a bolt down anchor kit for solid surfaces such as decking or slabs.

Jackie Asked:
Would I need to cement the ground spikes into the ground to hold the arch upright?
We Replied:
Dear Jackie
Thank you for your question.
We had this Flower Circle on display in our garden centre and we did cement them into the ground as our ground is fairly soft. However, it does depend on your ground. Obviously if they are cemented in, this will ensure that there is no movement.

Jon Betts Asked:
How did you cement in the spikes? Presumably you assembled and positioned the circle first but how did you support the structure with the spikes in place and the cement still wet?
We Replied:
Dear Jon
Thank you for your question.
We only dug out a hole, but not the full length of the spikes, if that makes sense. The spikes went into the ground then we poured the cement / concrete with some stones to wedge the spikes into the holes. We then wedged two pieces of wood to provide a crutch while it set.

Tas Asked:
What does the guarantee cover?
We Replied:
Dear Tas
Thank you for your question.
The 10 year guarantee refers to a one year manufacturer's anti-rot guarantee. It is pressure treated as standard and, as it's made from natural wood, will still age and mature over time and turn to a silver-grey colour. However, you can stain or paint it on a yearly basis if you wish to keep the fresh wood look or paint it a different colour to suit your garden.

Chris Cooper Asked:
If I order the fixing spikes do I need the bolt down feet to fix them as well?
We Replied:
Dear Chris
Thank you for your question.
No, you wouldn't need both, it would be one or the other. The spikes simply get pounded into the ground and then the feet of the circle are slotted in.
