Jan Asked:
Can this product be applied onto engineering bricks which are one brick high above liner level? I need to cover frost damaged bricks. What products would I need to purchase if this is possible?
We Replied:
Dear Jan
Thank you for your question.
This product would be a great way of covering undesirable areas of the pond. We would recommend using the Oase power adhesive suggested at the bottom of the product page.

stefan malinowski Asked:
I want to create a 3 metre long watercourse to feed water into my existing pond. I've created a trough and lined it with a butyl liner. I want to cover the butyl liner with a stone liner. Will your OASE stone liner do the job, given water will be flowing over it continuously? If not can you recommend a product that will.
We Replied:
Dear Stefan
Thank you for your question.
As long as the watercourse is initially lined, this stone liner can be applied to give a nicer visual effect.

Carol Moss Asked:
As this product is supplied on a roll, how do you cut it to edge a round pond? How does the product edge to a grass lawn?
We Replied:
Dear Carol
Thank you for your question.
To create a curve in the liner we would suggest cutting a line one third of the way into the liner and then create an overlap. The size of the cut will dictate the angle of the curve.
The edge of this liner is around 5mm of plain black, so will edge nicely against the lawn.

Stu Asked:
I need to conceal the plastic rim of my pond, up and over from outside to inside. Is the stone edging liner actually adhesive backed?
We Replied:
Dear Stu
Thank you for your question.
This is not adhesive backed you will be required to use a sealant such as Oase EPDM:

stu Asked:
Are there two colours of stone edging liner?
We Replied:
Dear Stu
Thank you for your question.
The photographs may look slightly different due to different lighting conditions, there is only one colour available, the second picture is more representative of the colour.

Paula turner Asked:
I want to locate this stone liner in front of a small summer house, as I don't want to use loose gravel as it's near my lawn. Can I lay it on concrete?
We Replied:
Dear Paula
Thank you for your question.
The liner can be used for this application but bear in mind that it is quite sharp and might injure a child if they were to fall on it. It is not really designed to be walked on.

Jem Mann Asked:
I have a 60cm diameter, 30cm deep, steel pond. Will I be able to cut this liner in a perfect circle? How much would I need and will the adhesive stick to metal?
We Replied:
Dear Jem
Thank you for your question.
Dependent on how good you are with a Stanley knife you should be able to achieve a perfect circle but this material does not fold well and you will find it a lot less malleable that a butyl pond liner.
You will need approximately 120cm x 120cm of liner but as it is sold by the metre you will need 2m of the 120cm roll.
I can confirm that it will adhere to metal but please note that this is not sold as a watertight liner.

Howard Fisher Asked:
Will this liner adhere with the appropriate adhesive to a plastic pre-formed pond's rim? If so what would you recommend as a substrate on the soil around the pond onto which the liner will lie?
We Replied:
Dear Howard
Thank you for your question.
The best way to adhere this liner to a pre-formed pond would be to use a silicone glue to hold the pieces together. The Oase Pond Liner adhesive is the best to use for this product:https://www.gardensite.co.uk/aquatics/oase-pond-liner-power-adhesive-epdm-fix.htm.
The Oase Stone Liner does not need anything underneath it when it is resting on soil.

Debbie Cheshire Asked:
We want to use the stone liner to rejuvenate our existing stream. We have some large heavy rocks; is it ok to put these back along the edge or should we put something between liner and rocks to prevent the small stones piercing through its liner?
We Replied:
Dear Debbie
Thank you for your question.
As long as the rocks are placed carefully onto the liner there should be no issue. The only way I can see the stones piercing the liner is if the rocks were to be dropped rather than placed.

David Asked:
Can the stone liner be jet washed?
We Replied:
Dear David
Thank you for your question.
We would not recommend this product being jet washed as this is likely to dislodge the stones.
