Andrew Owen Asked:
Does this item come with the piping that connects it to a raised waterfall section?
We Replied:
Dear Andrew
Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately not but this can be purchased through our website, you would need the 25mm size:

Mark Asked:
I have a pond measuring 210cm x 158cm x 40cm which contains six sherbunkins approx. 20cms. It is located in a south facing garden with a lot of direct sunlight. What Hozelock Easyclear pond filter would be suitable for a pond of this size? I currently have a Bioforce external filter with pump, would the EasyClear be a good suitable alternative.
We Replied:
Dear Mark
Thank you for your question.
You have approximately 1,300 litres of water. We always double this amount to get the required filtration for regular fish (not koi). This means you'd want a filter that can handle 2,600 litres but as you've mentioned you have a lot of sunlight so I'd get a larger filter personally. The 6000 would be about right for what you need, the 9000 would be even better still.

Elsie Luke Asked:
Can I have detailed instructions for changing the UVC bulb on my EasyClear 6000?. According to the booklet, after unscrewing and removing, the "funnel" bulb cover should just lift off. I cannot do this and I'm frightened to grip too hard in case I break it.
We Replied:
Dear Elsie
Thank you for your question.
You need to unscrew the screw on the back of the unit, then twist the cover like a bayonet. This then slides off. Next is the quartz, which is a glass sleeve, you need to unscrew the collar at the base of it and gently remove the glass cover. The bulb will then simply pull out.

andy schofield. Asked:
I have an EasyClear 6000 but it fills with water even though the seal seems fine. This results in the bulb continually blowing. How can I solve this problem?
We Replied:
Dear Andy
Thank you for your question.
It sounds as if water is getting in through either the quartz glass (check for any cracks chips or hairline fractures), or the seal on the quartz collar has gone. If, after you have checked both these, the problem persists then we are sorry to say the pump may have developed a fault. These units carry a 3 year warranty, if it is within this time you can contact the company that you bought the unit from and they should replace it.

Gary Thomas Asked:
I have a small pond of about 2000 litres and require a pump for a waterfall feature with a cascade width of roughly 0.6 metres. The operating point is about 1 metre high and the run of hose up to the operating point is approximately 2.5 - 3.0 metres from inside the pond. Which pump would you recommend?
We Replied:
Dear Gary
Thank you for your question.
We would recommend a Cascade 4000 to run both the fountain and the waterfall. Please follow this link: https://www.gardensite.co.uk/Aquatics/Hozelock_Cascade_4000_Fountain_Pump.htm

Ann Asked:
We have a 6000 Hozelock Filter Pump, the water in the pond is very clear but there's a build up of algae around the edge. Is this normal or should the pump clear all the algae?
We Replied:
Dear Ann
Thank you for your question.
You will find that warmer weather results in a build up of algae. If the algae looks like green hair then it is blanketweed and you can use products such as these to clear it:

John Armond Asked:
I am installing an Atlantis pond (approx 650 gallons). It will become well stocked and have several varieties of deep and marginal plants. There will not be any waterfall or other water features installed. Whilst I understand that the Easyclear 3000 will handle this volume of water, would there be any benefits to advancing to the Easyclear 6000 providing it was set up correctly?
We Replied:
Dear John
Thank you for your question.
The Easyclear 3000 would only be adequate for this pool if there are no fish in the pond, if there are goldfish then the 6000 would be required, and if there are any koi in the pool we would recommend a pressurised or box filter kit as opposed to the all in one systems, something along the lines of a Bioforce Revolution 6000 Kit.
