Chad Asked:

I cannot remove the front cover to clean the filter and impeller. It moves at the top slightly but appears stuck at the bottom and I don't want to force it off and maybe break it. Have you any advice?

We Replied:

Dear Chad Thank you for your question. The front cage is usually very tight to stop it falling off in the pond. To remove the cover it just requires a bit of force, there are no clips to be pressed, it will just pull straight off. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Paul Ilsley

John Moore Asked:

Do you know what the sizes of the threads are on the T piece?

We Replied:

Dear John, Thank you for your question. The inner thread going into the pump is 20mm. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind Regards Dan Everton

Stuart Asked:

I have a BER253 pump, ii's about 5 years old and hasn't had a lot of use but recently when switching it off it trips the power. A couple of people have suggested "it's the windings"? Does that sound likely and, if so, is it serviceable or will I need to replace it?

We Replied:

Dear Stuart Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the manufactures have gone out of business. the only internal part that can cause a fixable fault is the impeller shaft and blades breaking. If you take the front casing off and the well cover it will reveal the impeller. Remove this from the pump, hold the magnetic shaft in you hand and turn the blades. If they turn all the way around this is at fault, if they turn halfway and stop the impeller is ok. We would not recommend continued use if the unit keeps tripping and would suggest buying a replacement pump. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind Regards Dan Everton

Jim Moffat Asked:

I have a Bermuda Submersible Pump model Ber114 (AC 230v, 50Hz, 45w IPX8, Hmax 3.2 m) in my small fish pond for a waterfall effect. This has started to work at reduced flow. I have stripped the pump down and have found that the hollow plastic tube (which has a fan attached to one end, passes through the centre of a magnet and has a thin plastic rod from the end locking plate assembly passing through the centre) has snapped. Due to the break being rough there is sufficient torque to give output of water, just reduced. Is it possible to purchase a refurbishment kit to replace the broken items, or is it a new pump? As my model is over 10 years old what would you advise as a replacement?

We Replied:

Dear Jim Moffat Thank you for your question. We are sorry to say that as Bermuda have gone out of business we are unable to get any replacements as the 2000 impellers are now sold out. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton
