Delivery Information

Free Delivery within Mainland England and Wales

Inclusive delivery within mainland England, Wales and Southern Scotland. Delivery to Scotland is inclusive up to and including Glasgow and Edinburgh but not above. Above these areas, as well as highlands and Islands/Isles will incur a separate delivery charge - please contact us today for a personalised quote if you require a custom delivery quote.

Delivery Period
Delivery is normally within 4 - 6 weeks as these products are made to order.
Although, due to the made-to-measure nature, the delivery may be extended during busy times of the year. If the delivery timeframe of your order is imminent, please call us before ordering so that we can confirm the current lead time.

Measurements & Gap Width
Please note that when entering your custom measurements, the "width" that we require is for the total gap width for your gate or fence, it is not the gate/fence width. The gap width is the space between post to post or wall to wall and takes into calculation the necessary space for fittings and fixtures, whereas a gate/fence width is the physical width for the gate/fence only. The measurements which you provide must be for the gap width, to ensure a perfect fit with the addition of fixing brackets.

Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.

Manor ball top fence panels and posts

Very satisfied with panels and posts. Gardensite handled everything well. Delivery very disappointing as lorry arrived 3 times with no notice whatsoever.

Questions and Answers (1)
Jeremy Morgan Asked:

How much longer should the posts be in relation to the fence panel height i.e. how much needs to be buried underground? What size concrete block needs to be created in the ground to bury the posts supporting each end of a 1.70m x 0.9m panel?

We Replied:

Dear Jeremy Thank you for your question. Generally, you should allow approx 2ft of post to buried underground for a 6ft tall panel, and around 1ft - 1ft 6ins for a 3ft tall panel. If your panel width is going to be 1.70m, then we would suggest the deeper 1ft 6ins depth. For general rule of thumb, the width of the post hole should be 3 times the width of diameter of the post, so for 50mm posts, the post hole to concrete should be around 150mm. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Lauren
