Description

A very popular sized greenhouse whether you are an experienced gardener or beginner. The Apollo Green 6 ft x 8 ft deep greenhouse is very sturdy and surprisingly spacious, full of light from the extensive glazing.

The low threshold means easy access for wheelchairs and wheelbarrows, and the single sliding door can be fitted on either side.

Ventilation is provided by a roof vent that regulates the all-important humidity and temperature. There's an integral base that will save you the time, money and trouble of buying a separate base, and Integral guttering is useful to recycle rainwater.

The frame is tarnish free and braced for strength. It's glazed with horticultural glass but you can choose polycarbonate or toughened, together with many other options.

Customisation: Glazing

Three types of glazing are available for your greenhouse. Choose from standard horticultural, long pane safety or polycarbonate options which let you customise your greenhouse to suit your needs.

Glazing diagram images are for demonstration and may differ depending on your chosen model.

with Horticultural Glazing (31707)

Standard 3mm glass which consists mostly of 2ft by 2ft panes, overlapping each other with the use of clips to hold one above another. This type of glass is traditional and very economical but tends to shatter into shards when smashed, so isn't recommended if you have children or pets.

with Long Pane Safety Glazing (32707)

Long pane safety glass is a lot stronger, and more durable than standard Horticultural glass. In the rare event of it shattering, it breaks into safer smaller pieces. It is also neater and needs less maintenance as no overlapping glass means there is no algae build up and no Z clips to fit.

Polycarbonate is a virtually unbreakable material, better described as being a highly durable, 4mm thick, twin-wall, opaque coloured plastic glaze rather than actual glass. This makes it the safest material where children and pets are concerned and the simplest type to install due to the large yet lighter panes. It also refracts the light very well.

Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver VitaVia greenhouses to allotments due to delivery carrier limitations.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 10 - 30 working days (2 - 6 weeks) but may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.

Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 15-ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable. Goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the manoeuvring the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.

Great quality greenhouse

The delivery driver was most helpful in taking all items through to the back garden. We opted for self-installation and thankfully I have a very competent partner and we got it up over a 2 day weekend (having first fully prepared the base). I can imagine for anyone less experienced might find it challenging as it wasn't always obvious what each piece was. And a few more aluminium screws would be helpful, they shear off very easily when tightening. But overall a great product and we're now happily growing veg in it!

Very good quality

Excellent service from garden site. Couldn't erect myself so company chap came who only took a couple of breaks while he ate his sandwiches...took the whole day!! No way I could have put it up. The only surprise was that the screws that are added to fix the panels in place go in from outside in and have no ends and just the point so it's easy to scratch yourself as they are sharp when closing the door.. Will be investing in some stoppers for some sort. The greenhouse itself is much stronger than my last really cheap one and included braces that I can hang herbs from. Well built and seems very strong. Glad I got the polycarbonate..it'says already warm and apparently I can replace panes with toughened glass if they break.

Well done gardensite

This greenhouse was delivered on time by a helpful driver, it's a good size and with a few accessories really is good value, well made and fits nicely into my garden. I'm an old geezer so opted for the installation service which was good as they obviously know what they're doing. Low threshold is good so I won't go flying, no complaints from me. Well done gardensite.
