Description
The Swallow Lark 4ft x 6ft thermowood greenhouse oozes exceptional quality whilst remaining compact, perfect for any level of gardener with slightly limited space, or who doesn't require a large greenhouse.
Swallow are experts at crafting the highest quality timber greenhouses; by using a unique method of heat-treating high-quality Scandinavian timber, removing any excess moisture and resin from the wood, which results in timber that has significantly improved durability and strength, has a more consistent finish and will never warp or rot, dramatically increasing the lifespan of your greenhouse. With an expected lifespan of up to 50 years!
Not only do Swallow greenhouses come with a host of features as standard, but installation is also included in the price, so you can begin enjoying your greenhouse straight away. 3mm toughened glazing is built directly into the side of the greenhouse along pre-cut grooves using high-quality silicone to ensure maximum stability.
Other standard features include full length staging down one side of the greenhouse which provides essential workspace, a roof vent with an automatic opener which is crucial to aid ventilation within the greenhouse and a 25mm black PVC damp barrier which gets installed beneath the greenhouse which adds further longevity to the greenhouse by combatting rising damp, this list is not exhaustive and further additional extras can be added to your order below.

Choose Your Colour Finish
Standard Finish -The standard finish on all Swallow greenhouses; plain Thermowood which is kiln-dried redwood pine that has undergone heat treatment, removing its moisture to make it exceedingly durable as it will not expand or contract with weather changes. Expected to last for up to 50 years when cared for and maintained.
Oiled Finish - Upgrade to an oiled finish to receive the same benefits of Thermowood from the standard finish, plus an an added oiled coating. The oiled finish will help to protect the timber even further, and lasts for 12 months on average before requiring retreatment for continued protection.
Painted Finish - Alternatively, upgrade to one of the painted colour finishes which utilises standard Thermowood, along with two topcoats and then glazed and sealed in your chosen colour. On average, the painted colour finish will persist and protect the greenhouse for around 3-5 years before requiring repainting.
Oiled Finish - Upgrade to an oiled finish to receive the same benefits of Thermowood from the standard finish, plus an an added oiled coating. The oiled finish will help to protect the timber even further, and lasts for 12 months on average before requiring retreatment for continued protection.

Add Extra Staging

Your new greenhouse is already supplied with one set of internal staging along one side (running the full length), however you may purchase an additional set for the opposite side if you prefer to have staging on both sides for extra work and storage space.
Staging is always provided in standard oiled finish.
Add Shelving
with High Shelf
Add a high level shelf to your greenhouse, offering added and invaluable storage space for starting off seedlings and general storage of seed packets, gardening tools, pots and trays and gloves.
A maximum of two high shelves may be purchased on freestanding models and one high shelf on lean-to models. Simply change the quantity to 2 if you wish to purchase two sets of shelves.
Shelving is always provided in standard oiled finish.
Add A Rainwater System

Adds a black colour finish rainwater system to your greenhouse which consists of a gutter along the roof (one on each side on freestanding apex models) and matching downpipes, letting you capture valuable rainwater into a water butt (not included).

Delivery & Installation Overview
Where We Can Deliver To As Standard -
Inclusive delivery and installation is available to the majority of mainland England, Wales and Scotland up to a maximum of 15 miles further North of Glasgow.
Where We Can Deliver To That Requires An Additional Surcharge -
An additional surcharge will be applicable for Swallow greenhouse delivery and installations to areas of Scotland above 15 miles North of Glasgow or the Scottish Highland, if the location is available to service, and isn't part of our exceptions listed below. For serviceable locations, the surcharge price can be found under the ‘Delivery & Install Options’ above, and this option will need to be selected upon ordering.

Unfortunately, delivery and installation cannot be carried out to the following locations due to service limitations:

Delivery & Installation Timeframe
*Delivery and installation will typically be made within 8 - 12 weeks to the majority of England and Wales locations, along with Scotland, Devon and Cornwall.
Delivery timeframes start from when confirmation has been submitted that your base area is prepared and ready for installation of your new greenhouse, and not from the date of your order being placed.
Both the delivery of your new greenhouse and the installation service will be completed at the same time and so the installation team will be the ones to deliver your greenhouse when they arrive to install it.
All Swallow greenhouses are crafted to order, so maybe extended during busy times of the year.
Bespoke Product Procedure
This product range is made to order on an order-by-order basis, therefore is exempt from our usual cancellation and returns policy. Any cancellations after your order has started production may not be able to be cancelled or may be subject to cancellation charges. Although a very rare occurrence, this does not affect any orders that arrive damaged or faulty, whereby our normal terms on receiving a faulty product will apply.
Pay In Full or Pay Just a 20% Deposit
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5-ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Back garden access is required from the front of the property, as due to the size of the product and the large sections that they are delivered in, the installation/delivery team are unable to carry these items inside your home as the sections are unlikely to pass through standard indoor door sizes. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable. Goods can only be maneuvered on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. If the installation/delivery team is unable to gain access to the installation area from the front of the property, they may not be able to complete the installation, and a cancellation or rebooking charge may apply.
Base Preparation
A suitable, flat, and level base must be prepared prior to the arrangement of delivery and installation, which can affect the delivery and installation timeframe - so please ensure that this is pre-prepared as soon as possible so that your greenhouse can begin production. The installation team will contact in advance and will request a photo of the proposed installation area before being able to confirm a delivery and installation date. This is to ensure that the area is ready and suitable, ensuring successful installation on the day.
Dimensions do not include any applicable overhang or guttering, so please ensure that there is sufficient space around your proposed greenhouse base without obstruction, for it to be sited and installed successfully.
